It is a math skills coaching program based on higher thinking skills development with a series of progressive competitions at local, state and national levels. It motivates students to do well in math and recognizes and rewards them for achievement. The program also gives the math teachers an incentive to excel in their classrooms. Future Cities needs judges!

Future City is a nationwide program that began in 1992 and provides 6th, 7th and 8th grade students a stimulating engineering challenge with a "hands-on" application to present their city of the future. Engineers mentor students as they make their dreams into realities. This competition combines math, science, business, government and technology like no other. Each year, the competition addresses a different real world issue. Past competitions have included "green" building and water conservation. This program allows students to become more aware and active citizens in their own communities. Contact Moiz Husain, Regional Coordinator at houstonfccoordinator@gmail.com to volunteer!
